Get your old photos from Friendster before it’s too late!
I couldn’t forget the days when Friendster is the biggest thing on the internet. There was a time when people, especially my classmates, didn’t have anything else to talk about except their latest photos, number of friends, and testimonials! It used to be the host of every Joe’s virtual ID on the web. Whenever you meet someone new online, the first thing you or he would say after “hi” is “what’s your fs?” And then MySpace came and some other lesser known social sites. I don’t know about you, but in my time, Friendster was the one who opened the door to online socializing, and the rest just followed through. However, I think the decrease in the number of Friendster users really began when Facebook became popular. And we can all agree that in terms of features and virtual socializing functions, Friendster is no match to Facebook.
As I was working last night, I heard something about Friendster in the evening news. They said that all user profiles and details, including photos will be deleted as the site will be undergoing a major transformation. I think they’ve finally decided to match the features offered by other social networking sites. After hearing the news, I immediately went to the site to check my account. I figured I may still have some old photos there that I want to save. And then I realized that I could no longer remember my log on details.
According to my research, there is an appy in Friendster which can help the users to export their blogs and photos. They said it is only available til May 31, 2011. And so I assume that after that day, the site maintenance and transformation will follow.

As an avid fan of the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling, I just can’t get enough of its magical story. I want more, and so I thought what if the author releases the story of how Dumbledore became the greatest wizard of all time, starting from his childhood with all that drama about her sick sister Arianna and ending with his famous duel against childhood bestfriend/love interest Grindelwald. I’m very much interested to know exactly what Dumbledore was like long before he became Hogwarts’ headmaster.
At the end of the day, there are some things you just can’t help but talk about. Some things we just don’t want to hear, and some things we say because we can’t be silent any longer.
